Moderator Information

Conference moderators use bar code scanners for tracking workshop attendance. Each attendee’s badge has a bar code that is unique to that individual. Moderators will use the badge scanner to scan attendees’ badges upon entering and leaving the workshop. The scanners track the attendees’ time spent in the workshop in order to receive continuing education credits (CEUs).

As a moderator for the regular conference workshops, you will have several responsibilities, but your primary roles are:

• Assist the presenter
• Make speaker introductions
• Hand out and collect evaluation forms
• Maintain a quiet courteous atmosphere for the speaker and the audience
• Track workshop attendance using the bar code scanners
