Keynote Speakers

Tierney Cahill
Teacher and Congressional Candidate
Monday, 8:30 - 10:00 am

Tierney CahillSixth-grade teacher Tierney Cahill wanted to prove the point to her students that any "normal" American could be a legitimate candidate for office. So in response, Cahill ran for Nevada's 2nd District Congressional seat against incumbent Jim Gibbons and went on to grab 34 percent of the vote, not enough to win but more than enough to prove her point.

Cahill, now a subject of an upcoming film, Class Act, speaks about her truly inspirational story of overcoming the fear of failure by breaking down walls of self-doubt and encourages others to live their dreams. By being called upon by her students, they challenged her life - and now she lives without fear, ready to face any obstacle and inspires others to do the same in her presentation "Living Without Fear."
